Come away from the fray.
From all that assails your soul.
Quiet yourself in the Presence of the Lord.
Let Jesus rid you of all panic, misery, stress;
and let Him fill you
with His Peace,
with His Joy,
with His Holy Presence;
until you veritably overflow with His Holy Purpose!

Writing “Just One Touch” was such a blessing. It seems as though I was right therewith that special Woman who reached out to touch the Hem ofJesus’ garment. The briefinteraction she had with the Lord taught mevolumes.Her actions taught me to push forward, no matter the pain, no matter the humiliation, no matter the criticism, no matter the trial, no matter… unto the Lord’s way. Unto the Lord’s purpose.
I’ve also learnedduring the writing of “Just One Touch”tofix my eyes upon the Lord for in Him (and no other) is LIFE!

Like the Woman with the Issue of Blood we each have issues and like her if we push through to touch Jesus we will receive LIFE.

Let’s Discuss.
What has the Lord helped you to push through?
What are you pushing through?

When I was a young girl growing in

When I was a young girl growing in Denver, Colorado, I recall my father backing his old haggard pick-up truck out into the road early in the chilly morning. On his return that early spring, I stood upstairs staring out the window curiously at the contents heaped on the back of Daddy’s truck. A minute could not have passed before the nauseating smell of the trucks contents drifted upward. I gagged,… frowned and pinched my fingers tight to my nose.
FERTILIZER. MANURE. Cow manure to be exact, was what Daddy had so boldly/brazenly decided to fetch back to our house in the MIDDLE OF A CITY NEIGHBORHOOD. For the next two hours with the help of my not so happy brothers, Daddy spread the heaping stinking contents upon our grass still yellow from the winter’s snow. We instantly became the neighborhood pariahs. When people walked near our house they’d cross the street, giving us a wide berth, holding their nose in disgust. Others too would cuss or call out words of disdain or whisper to the other neighbors. It was surely not easy being me during that time. The humiliation was complete. (smile) But something interesting happened in the weeks following. The Fertilizer began to sink into the ground still moist with the winter snow and out from the soil depths IN EARLY SPRING-IN DENVER, COLORADO one could see the most beautiful green blades of grass emerging. As the days passed and grew a bit warmer, our grass personified –waved. It waved its green blades proudly. Surely it was as beautiful and as green as a golf course. While our neighbors grass still lay mostly yellow, ours lay shimmering, a joy to us and now to the whole neighborhood.
I share that story because I was deeply troubled about some circumstances in my life. As I knelt on my knees in prayer, I lamented to the Lord. I prayed and prayed and fussed at the Lord about how stinky this circumstance was in my life. Then I heard the Lord in His still quiet voice say
“Daughter, that is your FERTILIZER”.
Oh how I cried, how the tears poured. For I remember vividly the sheer green of our early spring grass and knew that the Lord was wonderfully and meticulously doing the same for me.
Dear friend, are your circumstances unsavory/stinky. Take heart. Allow God to work in you. He is pleased by your steadfastfaith. Soon and very soon you will see your green grass emerge.

I will turn the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the HOLY ONE of Israel has created it.
